Thanks to all for your thoughts, prayers, and outpourings of sympathy.

Reading all of your stories of kindness about my father reaffirms what we already knew.

We will greatly miss him. I know that he is watching over, smiling.

The loss of a friend is like that of a limb.The wound eventually heals but the loss cannot be replaced.Friends for forty years plus eternity. Joe was a man of kindness,love,compassion and strength.It is a blessing to have called him friend.I will miss you.

Almost eighteen years ago, Joe Tiroff brought our daughter through the most traumatic crisis of her life. We lived out of state, and could not be with her immediately when the tragedy occurred. Detective Joe Tiroff was there ...and he never left. For almost two decades, he was a constant source of strength and assurance, as well as being closest personal friend to our daughter and son-in-law. Our family cherishes his memory.

Joe was always a fine and honorable man and it was a pleasure to know him and learn from him. I hated to hear of his passing. We lost a good man.

I am Joe's daughter, and want to thank everyone for the wonderful messages. My father was a blessing to everyone he came in contact with. He was a wonderful man, and we will miss him dearly

I just herd today of the loss of a near and Charished friend, Joe. I will certainly miss his good disposition and friendly smile. Never carring about his problems only intrested in carring for yours. Our Sympathy and Prayers are with the family. God Bless
