April Marie Hartley Anderson, 28, of New Salem passed away on March 7, 2009. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, March 11th at 6PM with prayer services beginning at 7PM at Heritage Funeral Home, Indian Trail Chapel. April was born on October 7, 1980 in Mecklenburg to Charles Edward "Sam" Hartley and Kim Akins Blount. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Verona and Dan "Papa" Youngblood and paternal grandfather, Charles Aldon Hartley. She was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She attended Sun Valley High School. April worked at Ruby Tuesday as the Culinary Manager; she loved to cook. She loved the mountains and the beach. She enjoyed quality time with her brother, Charlie. She'd light up a room when she'd come in. Loved life, was a free spirit, and was strong-willed. But most of all, she dedicated her life to her family. She is survived by her mother, Kim Blount and her husband Ricky of New Salem; father, Charles Edward "Sam" Hartley and his wife Donna of Monroe; paternal grandmother, Sheila Hartley of Charlotte; husband, Ian Anderson of New Salem; daughters, Samantha Marie and Addison Lee Anderson; brother, Charles "Charlie" Brian Hartley and his wife Amanda of Monroe; sisters, Stacy Leigh Blount of Batesville, AR, Rebecca Foster and her husband Hunter of Monroe, Krystal Hathcock of Locust, Stephanie Ann Blount of Batesville, AR, Shayna Williams of Dunbar, WV, Kayla Briann Hartley of Monroe; nieces, nephews, cousins, best-friends, Marsha, Bonnie, Ginny and many others; and her feline friend, "Chink Mow".
