Barb And Van were my next door nieghbors My Mother Passed away in 1999 and My Father in 2009

To the Brewer Family:
Please accept my deep and sincere condolences on your recent loss. Barbara, Van, and their family were my next-door neighbors in Wayland for many years. My Mother passed on in 1999 and my Father in 2009. Again, please accept my sympathies at this difficult time.

Dear Judy and Phil and family,
Barbara and Van were a vital part of our community. We will miss but not forget how they redefined retirement for us. Barbara learned to fly and become an expert photographer and Van's watercolors and writings are treasured. Barbara's photo taken from the air of Brewster Park and made into a postcard is a community favorite.

Barbara and Van were so much a part of the Setucket Club from our earliest days in Brewster back in the late 60's. We still have Van's painting of the Brewster Flats hanging in our cottage. Barbara was always an interesting woman to talk with and we admired her many talents and piloting skills. She will be missed along with her husband. We are fortunate to have their adult children to carry on the family legacy. Our sympathy to Phil and family and Judy on their loss.

Dear Judy and Phil,

We were very sorry to hear of Barbara's passing. Our deepest sympathy goes out to you both. Barbara was one of a kind. I enjoyed flying around the Cape with her, her photography, and bringing fresh striped bass from the flats to her and Van. We enjoyed golf behind the Great House and their gracious sharing of the blueberry patch and their house. Our thoughts are with you.

The Brewers were a constant in our lives. When my Dad was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer at 50 years of age, Van called him in the hospital from his ship-to-shore phone. Dad was thrilled, and both Barbara and Van continued to be the most loyal and loving friends to Dad, and to Mom after Dad passed away. Later, Barbara took my husband Kim up in her plane regularly, which was so wonderful. She was amazing, and will be sorely missed.

Our Condolences...

We are very sorry to hear of Barbara's passing. I always enjoyed talking with her about photography and her many years flying over Cape Cod. She will be missed.

Barbara and Van at the Fourth of July Picnic, 1980s

To All the Brewer Family, we were very sad to hear of the loss of Barbara. She and Van were wonderful next-door neighbors to our family in the Setuckett Club in Brewster for many decades and we were great admirers of hers. She will be sorely missed.
