I would like to offer my sympathy to the family and friends of Barbara Ann Scott. A friend came across her obituary and forwarded it to me as she remembered the story of how I got my name. I never met Barbara, but I was named after her. My father was from Watertown, NY and he admired her skating, though he told me he never spoken to her.
