Not sure what to say?

REMEMBERANCE: May God's love be with you all. Life is but a single walk with Yah, As we are but one; even so our lives shines in this world as He is, so are we, and we that has been. And in Him, we all remain forever, all eternity. Your love one will always remain alive in your hearts, in all those things that he taught, things you seen and shared with him, things that you heard him say, saw him do, and shared with him, are all there within each and every one of you. And as you share his...

Overton Family 1960. Sorry Gretchen, you weren't there yet, but beloved Tim is in the picture.

Brother Overton was a great man with many Christian attributes. He really allowed God to use him. No doubt, our God, Father and Son, welcomed him to Heavenly Home with Angelic Chorus. I could never forget how both Basil & Margie were my good and true friends. I loved the whole family very much. A family photo 1960. Love,

What a great man. His influence will continue in the students he taught and loved. I am so grateful to have driven him to many of his speaking engagements and the privilege of helping to send The World Evangelist to the four corners of the world. My prayers are with Sister Overton, Tessa and Gretchen. Your family is loved and appreciated.

you inspired me continually in my life.

Basil was one of the most uncomplicated people I ever knew. I learned to love he and Margie when Bill and I returned from Thailand to work in Florence. We had many good Chats in the old Students center on the campus at IBC. He was a kind and loving person who loved and had time for everyone. Bettye beck

I do not know who wrote his obituary, but it captured the essence of Basil Overton very well! I cannot remember a time when I did not know the name of Basil Overton as a great family friend and well-respected minister. His passing is a great loss to many. Praying that his family and friends will take comfort in knowing that he is now reunited on the other side with so many of his compatriots, including his dear wife Margie - and that we shall see him again some day!

We appreciated brother Overton. He and my father, Paul J. Waller, were classmates and good friends at Freed-Hardeman College many years ago. He spent time in my grandparents' home in Paducah, KY. He was a great asset to the cause of Christ. Our sympathy to the family.

We have lost a beloved brother, friend and teacher. My prayers are offered to God, both in thanksgiving for such a great man, and in sympathy for those left behind.
