WOODS, Bernadette Kusterer, 96, lifelong resident of Richmond, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, David P. Woods; sister, Genevieve Fussell; and brothers, Cecil, Edward, James and John Kusterer. She is survived by her son, David P. Woods Jr. and his wife, Ruth; daughter, Ann Carole Eliasek and her husband, Jim; sister, Mary K. McCormac; brother, Lawrence M. Kusterer; eight grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren. Mrs. Woods retired from Benedictine High School as a receptionist/secretary after 33 years of service. The family will receive friends at Bliley's-Central, 3801 Augusta Avenue, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday. A Rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 9 at 11 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 300 N. Sheppard Street. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. The family would like to thank Teresa and Anita and the entire staff at Elmcroft of Chesterfield for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Benedict Catholic Church Centenary Campaign, 206 N. Belmont Ave., Richmond, Va. 23221, or Benedictine College Preparatory Father Adrian Centennial Fund, 304 N. Sheppard Street, Richmond, Va. 23221.
