Your friendship over the years has meant the world to me. I will never forget you. You will always be in my thoughts and forever in my heart. You have been an inspiration in my life and because of your great gift of wisdom, kindness, and love that you share-I will forever be greatful to you. Thank you "Judge". Well. my friend, it was a 43 year friendship/relationship with its ups and downs, its laughter and tears. I know that you are somewhere climbing in your beloved mountains. I am glad we were in Sedona last year and that you were the first person I saw the Grand Canyon with. I will reember our intellectual jousting, our shared liberal ideas, our mutual anger at the state of the country. Be at peace my friend. Sharon

To Bud's Family:
Bud and I served together in the Staff Judge Advocate's Office at Ft. Bliss, TX. My daughter, Brenda, and Susan were the same age and good friends. Bud and I stayed in touch, and he visited me in Phoenix about a month before his death. We were looking forward to a reunion of our JAG buddies in El Paso in June, 2006. He was a good friend and will be missed by all of his JAG compatriots. We will toast him at the reunion.

As a family, we are deeply saddened by your untimely death. Lately you appeared to be enjoying your life immensely, both personally and professionally, so the timing is yet more tragic.
