Not sure what to say?

My brief and infrequent encounters with Bernie made an indelible impression on my view of life: How to be serious and have fun doing your life's work. It is a lesson that has lasted a lifetime.I never had the courage or desire to begin a new life at 71, but did enjoy working as long as I could, thanks to his memorable example.

Bernie Doyle: A perfect example of Doctors Without Borders!!! A great man and more fun than a barrel of anything.

Bernie was my mentor in the Air Force, in Periodonitcs, and in life. He set a great example and nearly unachievable standards--for himself, for others, and for me personally. I will always remember him for his work ethic and of course for his play ethic also! He will be missed for sure. Best wishes to the entire family.

I knew him in VN. If ever anyone lived outside the box, it was Bernie. Always on the edge of trouble, but a man of action. He seamed to know no boundaries. What a guy. We did a lot of civic action (MEDCAP) for the Army Special Forces. Here are a couple of pictures of him taken at a Lepersarium (sp).

Thank again,

Cecil Brown

What a wonderful life so full of accomplishments; a terrific loss for all of your family. I regret that we didn't keep in touch through the years like my father and mother, Bernard and Dolly, had always hoped that we would. I didn't know Bernie very well as he was much older than I but I do remember that he was very handsome and smart. I am so sorry for your loss.

I new Bernie untill I was about 12 years old when I moved from North Platte. I remember the picnics North of town on the North River road at Aunt Crissy's. I am so sorry for your loss..Bernie was a really nice kid....

I was so sorry to hear about Bernie. I know Aunt Emily and Uncle Bill were very proud of him as was the rest of the family.
You have my heartfelt condolences,
Cousin, John McNeil
