I am saddened to hear of the passing of our dear VRTA friend, Dr. Betty Craft. I will miss your smile, soft voice, and friendship. In spite of your failing health, you preserved in all things until the job was done and done well. You are a true role model to retired teachers everywhere.

Oh,my,the inevitable has arrived and we all hoped it would not, of course. I got to know Betty through VRTA and she was an amazing woman! What she did to help all of us while she was dealing with this - unbelievable! We share in your loss. Dianne Hughs Shuler, Henrico

She was a strong fighter, but ultimately her body was unable to continue the daily battle necessary for life.

There will be a missing piece in the lives of many people who came into contact with this lovely lady!

Dr. Craft was one of the most amazing teachers I ever had. She not only taught MLT but she also taught professionalism, life lessons, and much more. While we have lost a great person, friend, and loved one: we can rest assured in knowing that Don and Betty are back together again enjoying the view from above without pain and suffering. Kevin and family: you all are in our thoughts and prayers.
