Brenda Sue Ballman March 15, 1961 – October 15, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brenda Sue Ballman, who passed away at her home in Grants Pass on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Brenda was born on March 15, 1961, in Corona, California, and moved with her family to Grants Pass, Oregon, at the age of three, where she spent the majority of her life.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 11 years, Mark Ballman; her mother and stepfather, Bonnie and Allen Marcotte; her sister, Linda Ryan; her daughter, Nichole Wickberg; and her son, Brian Leach. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, one great-grandson, and many dear friends whose lives were touched by her kindness and warmth.

Brenda was known for her love of cooking and baking, particularly for her family. Saturday evenings were a cherished tradition, spent preparing dinner for her sister and brother-in-law, followed by laughter and karaoke with loved ones.

A passionate gardener, Brenda took great pride in her yard and often grew more produce than could be eaten or shared. She also loved visiting Oregon’s coastal towns and found great peace walking along the beaches, regardless of the weather.

Holidays held a special place in Brenda’s heart. She delighted in decorating for every occasion, finding joy in creating a festive and welcoming home for family and friends.

Following her marriage to Mark, the couple moved to Georgia, where they owned and operated a shipping and printing business. In 2018, they relocated to Indiana to care for Mark’s father. After his passing, they returned home to Grants Pass to be closer to family and friends. Brenda was diagnosed with cancer later that year, a battle she faced with courage and grace.

A memorial service in honor of Brenda’s life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Hull & Hull Funeral Home, 612 NW A Street, Grants Pass, Oregon.
