My condolences to the Johnson family. Captain Johnson appeared to be the complete package, family man, friend and hero.

I am proud to say that I grow up with Herbie (Tommie as I knew him ) On Wood St. in St. Basil's parish. Iwill prayer for all & will keep your family & his sisters & brothers in my thoughts. Yes we have all lost a good person & a true hero.

We live in Oak Lawn but are involved with the Chicago Fire Department and extend our prayers to the Herbie Johnson family. We lost another Hero!!! Rest in peace and thanks.
