Not sure what to say?

Court South Merchants recently lost a beloved member and one of the kindest souls one could ever meet. Carl Perry always had a smile and a story to share. Carl started his mission to fitness the summer his wife went on a field trip to Europe. His wife gave him a membership as something to keep him busy while she was away. Carl took great care to share his stories with me often. My office was one of his pit stops while he walked. Always a big smile and handshake greeted me when he would stop...

Carl Perry gave me, as well as my contemporaries at the First Baptist Church in Asheville,
The GIFT of music...a gift that I have appreciated and enjoyed every day of my life. He touched the lives of so many... A master teacher, organizer, musician...and a fine, fun person ("The People on the Bus", "Bear Hunt", weeks at Ridgecrest and choir competitions at Wake Forest) who not only taught us to love music, but also set an outstanding example of how to LIVE as a...

Carl was a wonderful person and friend. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. We rejoice that he now sings in the heavenly choir.

Deepest sympathy to David, Ann, Richard and their families.
My family along with my work family, cherish Carl's memory and example

With deepest sympathy to the Perry family during your time of grief...God is for you a refuge and strength, A help that is there to be found during difficult times...May God provide you with peace and comfort to endure the days ahead...(Psalm 62:8).

I was a member of the youth choir in Asheville First Baptist Church during the time Carl was the minister of music. All of the youth really loved him very much he was such a patient and kind and caring person. He loved working with all ages . I also sang in the choir at Christmas for the Nativity pageant in the Knoxville Auditorium. He and Iris were very special people to me, they helped me to love music and show my love for Christ though music. My prayers go out to all of the family, Selma...

Thank you Mr. Perry for your years of service and commitment to the Women's Home & Overseas Missionary Society of the AME Zion Church. You were always helpful and prompt to respond to our orders and special request. God bless you and I know the angels of heaven are singing and rejoicing of your coming.

Carl was an inspiration to the young people of the F.B.C. of Asheville,NC during the 1950's. Many of whom, like myself, spent their life in Christian service. We cherish his memory and example.

To The Perry Family,

My deepest sympathies to all. I fondly remember in the early 70's how, under Carl's direction, Sigma Chi Fraternity was able to win UT's All-Sing Competition. Our paths continued to cross years later when he would assist me with business and personal travel. May God's Blessings be upon all of you.
