Celene and Family,
Thinking of you at this time of sorrow. I never met your Dad, but he sounds like he was a very special person. Cherish the memories. 'fred

What a lovely statement on one's life. When I think of grandpa, the first thing that comes to mind, is being able to sit with him while he retold the story of his life. Just the impeccable ability he had to describe it so specifically, showed what an extraordinary journey it was. I'm better to have known him and fortunate for the others he had touched as well. He was a beautiful example of a life well lived.

Dear Celine and Family,
How sad to read about your Dad this morning. I have such special memories of both your Mom, Dad and Grandmother.
It was always a joy to see them in the office or Publix. They were so proud of
all of you and I feel blessed to have shared a small part of their lives.
My deepest sympathy....Betty Shamas

It was my pleasure to add his biography to my book "My Friends & Heroes". Charlies story is a classic example of success from adversity. We will all miss him at Tang Base USSVI.
