Mr. Gervig was a very special person in my life many years ago. Not only was he my high school Sunday School teacher at Austin Avenue Methodist, he was my first boss. He hired just as soon as I graduated from Waco High in May of 1957 and I spent a wonderful summer working for him, picking up receipts weekly from his accounts and even learning to keypunch on that huge machine that sorted the cards and printed up the accounting statements.
