I am so heartbroken to hear of Charlotte's passing. I have so many memories with Charlotte...from elementary school to high school...even beyond to LSU. We both chose a nursing profession as our career, and as life goes, went different ways as we busily raised our own children. I'm sorry that I did not get to see Charlotte more but enjoyed our annual Christmas cards where I admired her beautiful family.
Charlotte was funny, warm, loving, and always welcoming whenever I had the opportunity to see her.
Charlotte, thank you for sharing many wonderful childhood memories with me. I am a better person for having known you. God bless you as you Rest In Peace. Prayers with your family at this most difficult time.

I am so heartbroken for the Murrell and Ferguson Families. Charlotte was not only a wonderful person and friend, but she dedicated her life to others. She was so welcoming to my son Lowell, after Katrina, and made us feel so welcome at St. James Episcopal School. We love you and will miss you tremendously. Dear George and the kids,
There are no words to describe how much I absolutely adored Charlotte. I was so lucky to get to play on her tennis team with Pamela and the gang. I had just graduated Ole Miss and I thought Charlotte hung the moon. She was always so cheerful and kind and someone I admired and wanted to be like. I loved teaching Susanna because I got to be with Charlotte again. Seven years ago my husband and I were pregnant with our second daughter when we considered the name Charlotte. I immediately thought of Charlotte Murrell and was a sweet and genuine person she was. I now have my own Charlotte Marie Moss and I will forever think of your sweet Charlotte when I look at mine. I don't think I ever got to tell that story to your Charlotte so I wanted to tell it to you George! I love your wife! She will be forever missed. Susanna, Denis and Mae Amanda - your mom was so proud to be your mama!!! She adored yall! I hope you'll remember that forever!!! Love - Courtney

I, along with so many of our college friends, am so saddened by this news. Charlotte was such a huge part of our lives during a crazy, fun and challenging time! She never ceased to make us laugh... her presence was always known. She had such a big spirit and I'll never forget her voice or her laugh. I last saw her at our reunion, and when we all did, it was like we had never left each others sides. We all were and still are connected. She is part of our fabric, part of what shaped us all into the grown ups we became. I wish that I could have told her all of this. I wish I could have let her know how much she touched my life and to let her know that I'll forever be sad that she is no longer on this earth.
To her family, please know that we are all thinking and praying for all of you. Your mom, wife, sister was really special! Love, love, love you Charlotte!

Charlotte was a close friend of me deceased wife and when my wife died she and several other wonderful Baton Rouge ladies swept in with their motherly instincts and took over . She organized our distraught family with food , baby sitters and her organizational skills . She was amazing and totally needed at the time . Deepest condolences from my whole bunch
