I met Chet when he volunteered in our office, Volunteer Lawyers Project (VLP), for several years. I learned a lot and gained a great deal from Chet, as did so many of our other staff, volunteers and clients. Chet was such a help to us that we presented him with 3 different Pro Bono Awards during a 3 year time span. Here is what we wrote in those Award Reception Programs:

I am so happy to have known Chet. He always enriched every conversation and buoyed the spirits of those around him. He will be deeply missed. My heart goes out to Delight, family and friends--we will all hold great memories.

He gave so much of his time to so many worthy causes. He will be sorely missed.
Marian Deutschman

Our condolences to the family. He was a mainstay at Nichols and always an upbeat man. He will be missed.

Delight, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Chet will be remembered so gratefully and lovingly by his colleagues and friends at Canopy of Neighbors, as he made each one of us a friend. Sandy Sheppard

Our deepest condolences go out to you Delight and your family from your friends and colleagues in the League of Women Voters Buffalo/Niagara.

I knew Chet to be a fine gentleman and a great benefactor to Nichols School.
Bud Graves

Such a sweet man. Thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family.
Leslie and John Garcia

Am so sorry love and prayers are with you and Liz and family. He was a great guy and am glad our family had the joy of knowing him.
