“Lois and All, Our daughter, Mary Alice Barksdale came to Pensacola yesterday and brought me the paper. I found Dee's obit in it right away. Our family goes back with all of you for so many years. We are thinking of you.
“Mrs. Devilbiss, I am so sorry to hear the death of your husband. I was in the class of 1950-1953 at Radford Community Hospital. You spoke so kindly of him calling him "D".
I am sorry for the loss of your father. He was a wonderful man and dear friend. He will be missed. God bless!
