I want pay my respects to the family of our american hero. I read that Daniel earned several high awards while in service to this country. Be a proud family, this man made a large difference in the lives of his fellow soldiers. My boy earned a Silver Star, Two Bronze, purple heart. I know the honor you should be feeling now. I would love to learn the story about Daniel's service some day. God Bless, Kathy Penich-Garross, proud mom of Sgt John M. Penich, KIA oct.16,2008
