“I was recently in Alameda and was saddened by the news of Dave's passing. I grew up in Alameda and met Dave when I was a youth. He played softball with my brothers as well. Over the years I would run into him now and then, and he was always so pleasant. My prayers are with you all. May you fond memories bring you comfort.
“I have fond memories of Dave and Jane (and their kids) as I grew up next door to Steve and Sally Baldi. Dave and Jane were so nice to all of us neighbors, treating us with kindness and patience every time we saw them. I am honored to have known the family.
“I remember Dave as being one of the many positive influences I had as a youth growing up in Alameda Dave was one of my early football coaches and mentor to me at the Alameda Boys Club and as a recreational league player at Mckinley Park. Rest in Peace Dave there is no doubt you are in the company of angels as you are one.
“Kyle and family -
We were saddened to see the note about your Dad and will keep you in our prayers. Treasure the many fond memories you have..they will be with you forever. May your family and friends provide much needed support and comfort for each other. Take care, Teresa & Tom McDaniels
“Jane and family, I am truly sorry for your loss of a great man. I remember the many long hours of dedicated service Dave gave to both St. Barnabas Church and School. May eternal light shine upon him.
“Dear Sara, I never met your dad but in our many conversations you often spoke of him so affectionately.
I 'm sorry for your and your family's loss.
“I just happened to "stumble" upon Dave's obituary and was quite stunned. He brought to mind a lot of fond memories from "back in the days." My heart and prayers are with the Baldi Family at this time. I know you are feeling a great loss. Sincerely, Antoinette Miland
“What a loss to us on earth and a beautiful gain to heaven. We love you and will miss you greatly, Dave. Rest I peace.
“Dear friends--I am so sad to read this post about your beloved Dad and husband. Dave was a jewel......always something kind to say or do. He will be missed.
