     David J. Ott, age 47, of Camp Douglas, Wisconsin, died Friday August 4, at his residence, a result of an accident.
     David was born June 4, 1959 in Chicago, to Peter and Sylvia (Lesniak) Ott.
     He attended Chicago and Carpentersville area schools. He previously owned and operated an auto body shop in Tomah, Wisconsin where he was known for building the first DARE van in that area. He enjoyed working on his classic 1967 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
     Survivors include his daughter, Maggie Ott of Elgin; a granddaughter, Dana Jernigan of Elgin; his mother Sylvia of Island Lake; a sister Susan (Alan) Kramer of Island Lake; a brother Perry (Jackie) Ott of Wonder Lake; and several nieces and nephews.
     He was preceded in death by his father Peter, in 1985.
     Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2006 at The Church of Holy Apostles, 5211 West Bull Valley Road, McHenry.
     The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2006 at The Church of Holy Apostles, the Reverend Robert Sherry officiating.
     Interment will be at the Christ the King Cemetery in Wonder Lake.
