Not sure what to say?

I had the privilege of associating with Dave at the Chester Bird American Legion Post in Golden Valley where he served as First Vice Commander. And although I did not know him well, I always found him to be a man of integrity and subtle humor as he was sometimes subjected to a Coast Guard joke or two; It's a veterans thing. One of the most striking impressions that Dave made on me upon first becoming associated with him was his absolute dedication to his volunteer position in the Legion. As...

I met Dave over 30 years ago when he moved his family up from Indiana. He was working for John Deere insurance then and he not only became a good friend but also a client. We were officing at 5501 Lakleand Ave North (Al Schrader's building) in Crystal then not far from where he lived in Crystal. I only knew Dave from the Chester Bird American Legion ... but I knew him as a kind and gentle man, always willing to pitch in and help out. I remember him from the Breakfast Club as well ... I had the great pleasure of working with Dave for quite a number of years before he retired. Dave was such an inspiration to all that worked with him as well as a good friend; he will be sadly missed by all who knew him. My prayers are with Dave's family and friends.

Then you would pack everything up, wander over to the breakfast club area and...

I had the pleasure of working with Dave for a number of years up until his retirement. I've thought of him often since then as he was such a great man. I know he will be sadly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. Take care, Jenn Sodren
