Dennis L. Graves, 53, Co Rt 69, Rodman, passed away Wednesday, March 4th at the Samaritan Medical Center where he had been a patient.
The memorial service will be 1 pm Saturday, March 14th at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Calling hours will precede the service from 11 am - 1 pm at the funeral home. Spring burial will be in Ellisburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alcohol and Substance Abuse Council, 167 Polk St., Watertown, NY 13601.
Dennis was born in Watertown, September 23, 1961, a son to Daren L. and Shirley A. Raymo Graves. He graduated from South Jefferson High School where he played soccer, baseball and hockey. He continued to play softball in local leagues for the Adams Hotel team following his high school graduation. He attended Jefferson Community College. Dennis was manager of Diamond Auto Glass in Watertown, retiring due to ill health.
He married Teresa Jones June 30, 1984.
Dennis was an avid hunter, Nascar fan, and a fan of the NY Giants, Yankees, Rangers and Knicks. He was a former member of the Rodman Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Jones Graves, Rodman; two sons Gregory P.M. Graves and Tyler M. Graves, both of Rodman; five brothers Daren L., Boothbay, ME; Gregory E., Union, MO; Ronald R., Mannsville; Charles J. Swannanoa, NC; Daniel L., Mannsville; 4 sisters Christine N. Caird, Mannsville; Darlene Ann Jefford, Mannsville; Cynthia J. Graves, Bridgeport and Lori C. Cashel, Mannsville. His mother-in-law, Margaret Jones. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Also surviving is his pride and joy, his pet dog Lulu.
Dennis was predeceased by his parents Daren and Shirley and a sister Kathleen Graves.
