I first met Don when he was the Dare Officer and visited me at John Bapst to discuss the program. I later knew him when I was on the Bangor City Council and watched him progress through the ranks to the position of Chief. He was an outstanding policeman, a dynamic leader for his police department members, a great role model for young people, and a devoted family man. Whenever I had a chance to talk to him "off business" he talked about his girls with...

On behalf of myself and my father, Ron Moody, I want to extend our deepest sympathy to Don's family. I will never forget the very funny Don Winslow that worked with my father during the 80's. I was lucky enough to see Don just a few months ago in Bangor and we had a nice chat. He was beloved by many over a long and successful career.
