I always wished i lived closer to my dads family so i could have had the chance to get to know everyone better. The few times i met Aunt Merle was like knowing her a lifetime. She made me feel like family. What a happy, kind and loving person. My thoughts are with you all. Until we meet again Aunt Merle. RIP Love you Sugar!

My earliest memory of your mom was when we were in second grade together. We attended a Mother-Daughter banquet with Annice Fernandez and Viola Gall--our second and third grade teachers. I remember how special we felt because we got to dress up and go somewhere special. We have kept in touch since then and I have fond memories of her. I will always think of her as one of my "forever friends". God bless all of you and your loved ones at this sad time. He will comfort and sustain...

Sherri, Cecilia & David,
My heart goes out to all of you. Your mother is one of the first people we met when we moved to Zephyrhills in 1974. She was so incredibly kind. She went out of her way to be kind, picking up my sister Jeanette & I for softball practice when we all played on the Flagship Bank Team.
I too have only one grandchild, a grandson as well, so I understand all too well that bond you spoke of between your Mom and Derek. Christian and I are best friends.

Sheri & family - your mom was such a wonderful person. Always had a smile on her face and loved everyone. I know it is hard to lose a parent, especially a mother, but in time it will get easier. Keep all the special memories in your heart and she will always be with you. Take care...

My Aunt Merle waas one of the most special people in my life. Although I grew up in PA and wasn't able to be with my family in FL as a child, I would talk to Aunt Merle on the phone and always felt a special bond with her. When I was old enough to travel on my own, she was the first person I went to see. I will never forget knocking on her door and when she opened it, I looked into her eyes and thought I was looking into a mirror. I felt so blessed to have one of her features. I will cherish...

My Aunt Merle was truly one of the most special people in my life..even though I grew up in PA and couldn't be with my family in FL, whenever I had the chance to speak with Aunt Merle on the phone, I felt an instant bond with her. I will never forget when I was old enough to go visit her on my own, I knocked on her door and when she opened it, I looked into her eyes and thought I was looking into a mirror. I felt so blessed to have one of her features. She treated me so special and taught me...

Aunt Merle had a way of making everyone she knew feel so very special! We all will miss her terribly, but as Sheri so beautifully wrote, I know she is having quite a "Welcome Home" party in Heaven with her loved ones, especially Uncle David, her Mom and Dad, and her brothers and sisters. No one loved family more than she did. I know how very proud she was of Celia, Sheri, David, and her dear grandson, Derek! You all are in my thoughts and prayers as you journey through this...
