It is with a great deal of sadness that I acknowledge the passing of Dr. Barnett who was a mentor to me and a friend. Her professionalism and support helped me and many other women navigate the halls of academe.

Dr. Dorothy Prince-Barnett is an instructor that I will never forget. I feel so fortunte to have been the recipient of her wisdom and expertise. After graduating from A&T, I worked in Florida for 15 years. When I would come back home to Greensboro for holidays and vacations, I would frequently see her. To the Prince and Barnett families,
I am the receipent and beneficary of many kind and wonderful moments spent in the company of Mrs. Barnett and her recently departed husband, Issac. She was the epidimy of what an educator should be but was also very kind and loving.

GREENSBORO — Family visitation for Dr. Dorothy Barnett will be 10 a.m. and funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at St. James Presbyterian Church, 820 Ross Avenue, Greensboro, NC.
