Not sure what to say?

You never forget the teachers who taught from the heart. Mrs. Quesenberry was my tenth grade English teacher at Warwick High School. She was tough but compassionate. She treated each student with dignity and kindness. I was fortunate to have known her; we were all blessed by her presence.

When Dot Quesenberry was my teacher at Warwick High, it was 1960 and she was Dorothy Correll. I remember her as a tall, slim young woman whose hair was always nicely styled! She was a no-nonsense English teacher and if I could talk to her today, I would tell her that thanks to her great teaching ability, I was able to earn a Phi Beta Kappa degree in English Literature at U.C. Berkeley and be invited into their PhD program. I have since gone on and done different things, but all of my...

Sonny, I am so sorry for your loss. May God give you strength in the days ahead.

Mrs. Quesenberry was a wonderful teacher. I had her for English in both the 10th and 11th grades at Warwick High School in 1959 and 1960. I think it was in the first class that she had ever taught, she was Miss Correll then. On the first day she laid down the law, boy was she tough, you didn't dare step out of line in her class and she was like that for the entire first semester, I hated her. Then in the second semester she lightened up a little and became the "BEST" teacher that I...

Mrs. Quesenberry was my teacher in both my junior and senior years at MHS. I will never forget her - she was an inspiring woman and a wonderful teacher.

Guy, you may not remember me, but I surely remember beautiful Dorothy! I was a nurse at DFP in Denbigh for 38 years and always enjoyed talking with her when she came in. I left DFP in 2005 and now live in the Roanoke area, near our daughter. I pray that your grief is eased by remembering the good times you shared, and her wonderful smile. Charlotte Yeatts,RN

I loved loved loved her American Lit class at Warwick high (I graduated in 1961. She helped me develop as a writer and I loved trying to explore writing with her. I also enjoy passing notes to Roy Stallings and all the other fun people in the class Guess she was only 6 years older than me- she seemed more. She was the "sponsor" of some club I was in and took me home once in a fantastic new white car. When we got there, I jumped up on the porch, cut my shin, needing 16 stitches. As...

Mrs. Quesenberry was an exceptional teacher! She taught me in my senior year at Menchville High School! She will be missed greatly. May you find peace in God and rejoice that she is in a beautiful heaven with her Lord!

To Dr. Q, Guy, and Harriet, my husband and I send our thoughts and prayers to you as we celebrate the beautiful life of your wife and mom. How blessed you all were to share a life of loving.

In friendship and sympathy ...
