I don't know if you would even remember me, but I was saddened to discover this site on the internet telling of Ed's long fight and eventual loss to brain cancer. I worked for him at Grey 1968-1970. He gave me very good advice: "Go home to Atlanta and be happy. You don't belong in the advertising business." He was right. I was thrilled to see that he spent his later years supporting the arts. Dear Barbara,
I was truly saddened to hear about Buddy's death. I saw him from a distance at the opening of NICE WORK and knew he was very ill. I was bowled over by his spirit and bravery in all he did. What class! No matter how much you try to prepare, nothing prepares you for such a huge loss. My thoughts are with you and your family.
