Back in the mid 1950's I worked as a reporter for the Eagle's Society Dept. Even though, technically, Lois Hall was my boss, Ed, as managing editor, introduced me to general news reporting, let me try my hand at writing features, assigned me a weekly grocery bargain shopping column, and saw that I was introduced to photojournalism. I even got my first experiences at "ambulance chasing." Always a true Christian gentleman, he was a man to admire and respect. I've never forgotten...

When Ken died in 1984, Ed was one of his pall-bearers. Ed was a fine, Christian man with a fine family, and highly regarded by many.
