“Edwina was a close friend of my mother, Ethel Calhoun, who also lived at Brandon Oaks. I have a pillow that Edwina needlepointed, and think of her when I look at the pillow. Edwina was a delightful lady.
“I've known Edwina for 20 years. She was a fine lady. She lived across the little street from my parents in one of the cottages at Brandon Oaks. She was always ready to meet them (and me)at the end of the street between their homes for a 5 o'clock scotch on the rocks. She became a good friend to all of us. She and my mom had a wonderful way of "sharing" when one of them would go out of town and all the contents of their refrigerators were left for the other.
I am so glad that...
“Mrs.Edwina Keith was one of my parent's neighbors at Brandon Oaks. I was privileged in meeting her when she came to dinner in the dining room. She was a positive lady and never complained of any shortcomings. She had a delicious spinach dish that in her thoughtful way, gave me the recipe after I complimented her on it. Brandon Oaks residents definitely miss her, as I do. Helen Gearhart Thompson
“For many years Eddie and Luther lived in the little house behind my parents Perry and Pauline Roberts before they built their home on 52. I remember I helped them move. I did not have her for a teacher because I told her it would be too hard for me not to call her Eddie. Not only was she a great teacher but she was also a great seamstress and a great cook. I still use some of her reipes.
I will miss her newsy letters.
“I am honored to have been a past student of Mrs. Keith. She was a very hard working, professional, and kind person. She was very dedicated to teaching her students all that she could about each class so that they could be prepared to do a do a job well. She will always be remembered by her former students as a shining example for all of us to follow. RIP Mrs. Keith, your journey has ended and your job well done. Condolences to her family during this time.
“Ms. Keith was an exceptional teacher while at Iaeger High School. I can remember thinking she was such a hard teacher not realizing that what she taught was us would stay with us the remainder of our years. We were blessed to have been such a small part of her life not realizing until our latter years what a big part of our that she truly was and for that I am thankful. Her memory will forever be vivid to all of us who were fortunate to have crossed known her. I know the Angels in Heaven...
“She was a very special lady and teacher at IHS.. Prayers for her family during this time of sorrow.
“She was a really wonderful teacher. So thankful our paths crossed at Iaeger High School.
“Granny Keith, We will miss you and your kindness you gave to us over the years. You were a wonderful part of the special moments in our lives.
