Ethel I. Schilt Ethel Irene Garlick Schilt, 91 of Warrenton, VA passed away on August 20, 2013 at Oak Springs of Warrenton. She was born on February 22, 1922 at Roanoke, VA, one of eleven children of the late William Augusta McAllister and Gertrude Figgat McAllister. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands; James Bailey Garlick, Sr. and Henry Schilt; and two great-granddaughters; Emma Katherine Ausburne and Lily Lynette Beuel. After many years as a homemaker and raising children, she was a statistician for the U. S. Department of Labor and retired after 20 years of service. She enjoyed time spent with the Red Hat Society and her Bingo Buddies. She is survived by her seven children and their spouses- Charlotte A. and Sonny Kidd, Warsaw, VA, Chester A. and Carol Garlick of Henry, VA, Wanda G. and George Wiser of Broad Run, VA, Gayle L. and Stephen Gray of Broad Run, James B. Jr. and Michele Garlick of Palmyra, PA, Michael E. and Tamara Garlick of Dickson, TN and Norma Jane and Reggie Murphy of Melbourne, FL; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8 PM at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton, VA where services will be held on Friday, Aug. 23 at 2:00 PM. Interment Little Georgetown Cemetery, Broad Run, VA.
