Evelyn K. Osborn, 82, of North Platte, passed away June 13, 2011, at Linden Court.
She was born April 6, 1929, in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Fred and Bertha Schmidt Moffitt.
She came to Hemingford as a young child and attended school there.
She married Donald Keith Osborn on Dec. 26, 1946, in Denver, Colo. They lived in Hemingford until Donald got a job with Pacific Fruit Express and they moved to North Platte.
Evelyn was a longtime member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church for 45 years. She enjoyed bowling, pinochle and especially bingo. She also enjoyed going to her neighborhood coffee club and she loved her family and spending time with them.
Survivors are children, Lynda (Leon) Woodward, of Casa Grande, Ariz., Sharon (Ron) Froseth, of Albuquerque, N.M., and Connie (Kerry) Murphy, of North Platte; two sisters, Esther Pedersen and Florence Fox; grandchildren, Ca Lesia (David) Nelson, "Butch" Leon (Susan) Woodward, Leeanna (Damon) Frisbee, Terry (Janara) Froseth, Michael (Jeannie) Froseth, Jason (Katie) Froseth, Tracy Irwin, Jennifer Brown, William "Skip" (Angela) Osborn, Wade (Sharon) Osborn, Angela (Jeremy) Gilbert, Kerri Murphy and Kayla Murphy; and numerous great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son, Larry; and daughter-in-law, Dwyla; two brothers; and two sisters.
Memorials are suggested to the American Kidney Foundation and online condolences can be made at adamsswanson.com.
Services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with the Rev. Robert Wiest officiating. Burial will follow at Fort McPherson National Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from noon to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
