Not sure what to say?

To the Orlando and Hartman families, please accept my most sincere condolences for the loss of a great man. While I only had the pleasure of working with Moose for a brief time, I was touched by his quiet confidence and his thoughtful and caring demeanor. He was a mentor to many in the East Brunswick Police Department, and all of us who worked with him or for him were blessed to have had that experience.

The most beautiful people I have known in my life are those who have known...

My sincere condolences to the family members. Moose was a great supervisor who looked out for his men. He is missed by everyone RIP.

On behalf of the active and retired members of FOP Lodge 98, I want to offer my sincere condolences to the Hartman and Orlando families. We share in your sadness and will miss our well respected colleague.

My sincere condolences to all the family members. Moose was a great guy and a great supervisor. He will be sadly missed. RIP

Many wonderful memories, for us all.
Wonderful Dad, and POP POP!
Richard and Jennifer Hartman and kids

I have many good memories of Moose and Tess coming to my folks' house, fishing, sitting on the dock with "refreshments" and cruising Lake Hickory on the pontoon. That era has passed but the memories live on. Condolences to the whole Hartman/Orlando family with a special shout out to Richie and Jennifer. What terrific people to coordinate Moose and Tess's care.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Moose was the first Lieutenant I worked for when I joined EBPD. His guidance and support were unfailing and I loved working for him. It is said, 'To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.' He will live on in all our hearts always.

Moose was not only a great supervisor he was a great person. He was always a people person, as a new rookie he was one of the supervisors that did not try and intiminate you. Many a night spent on Church lane playing cards, fishing down the shore and claming. R.I.P Moose you have been missed long before the lord took you.

Grandma Tess, Grandpa Moose and Lil' Ol' Jeffrey

I grew up next door to my grandparents. How cool is that? Grandpa Moose was the most patient, good-sportin', fun-loving Grandpa a grandson could ask for. I knew him as a cop and although he was my step-grandfather, I never knew him as anything but my "Grandpa Moose." He spent timeless hours fishing and crabbing with me every summer at their house in Forked River, NJ. He taught me how to drive a boat and take a joke! My grandparents had such fun together and we all enjoyed the love...
