Our thoughts are with Rosemary with deepest sympathy.

It was wonderful to work with Dr. Markus. I started working for him in 1963. He was a kind gentle person. I was blessed to know him and his family. My prayers are with all of you.

It was always a great pleasure to meet Rosemary and Gabor and enjoy their great hospitality and Gabor's remarkable piano playing. Gabor was always interested to hear news from Hungary and about science. I deeply enjoyed our meetings and the conversation. It is hard to believe that Gabor is no longer with us.
Deepest sympathy to the entire family,
Erzsebet (Elisabeth) Ligeti, Budapest, Hungary

I was deeply saddened to hear of Dr. Markus passing. It was truly a pleaure to work for him in the Department of Experimental Biology at Roswell Park. He loved people and people loved him. He was not only fond of his work and his many accomplishments, but more importantly, he was very fond of his family. My deepest sympathy. Teresa and Jerry Gilliam

In the name of the Hungarian American Social Club we would like to express our sympathy. Dr Markus was a great hungarian, and a very nice man. It was an honor to know him.

It has been an honor and a privilege to have known and worked with Gabor Markus.
I first met him in 1959. My condolences to the family.
