Miss Val, I am so sorry we lost touch in the early 70's. You and Nick were wonderful friends, and I will never forget either of you. Thank you!

Thank you Miss Val for teaching us so much. I have so many memories of our time in her studio. We danced at Hines Hospital, Harrison High School, and The Martinique! In one act, that included most of my cousins, I was Miss Ohio, I think. Also, in these recital extravaganzas, I remember dancing as a firefly, a dutch girl, an Indian girl, a pilgrim, and a baseball player. Our costumes were always gorgeous. We tapped to "I'm Just Wild About Harry", "Ain't She Sweet", "Turkey in the Straw" and...

I was a student of Miss Val's in the 60's and thanks to her I still have a love of dancing. I remember her special way of encouraging all her students to keep on dancing. I remember how special she made us feel at recitals. She can now relax and watch the Angels dance. Thank you Miss Val.

Dear Family of Miss Val,
It is with a saddened haeart that I have read of Miss Val's Passing. I am 51 years old and never will forget the dance classes I took at her studio as will my sister and cousins. Many times at reunions we look on our old recital pictures and laugh and tear up. What a fun memory. I did go on to study dance at many other studios in the Chicago land area, but can honestly say that I do not remember any of my instructors names or personality. I will always be...

What an incredible lady! I will never forget my Saturday mornings at Miss Val’s Dance Studio. We would wait in the outer offices and look at the beautiful photos of Miss Val when she was a performer. She was so graceful, refined and an inspiration to all of us. Thank you Miss Val for giving me a better appreciation for ballet and dance in general…I will never forget your kindness and patience especially when trying to teach me a new dance step nor will I ever forget to point my toes.
