Not sure what to say?

Dear Mrs. Gearhart, Jim, Bill, and Helen,

I was so sorry to learn, yesterday, of the passing of Mr. Gearhart. Aside from my parents, no other single person had more of an impact on my life. He gave me the opportunity of my lifetime, placing me on the perfect career path for me, when I had no clue of what I wanted to do with myself. He, then, gave me outstanding early guidance and a sound foundation of knowledge that enabled me to excel to heights in my professional life that were...

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. We are so grateful that we were able to finally meet you all in Charleston several years back with the 880th reunion. Loved the many stories Dad and Bill shared from their experiences in the service. He will be missed dearly.Have comfort that his life make an impact on so very many of us.
With deepest sympathy,

My thoughts and prayers go out to G.W.'s family. He gave me my first job in management and never failed to teach me something about people, service to the carrier, and respect for all. He will be missed by everyone.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Mr. Gearhart hired me in 1972, allowing me the opportunity for a successful career with the railroad.

I hope Mrs Gearhart and the whole family can take some comfort in the pleasant memories from the past. They were definitely a Grade A, # 1 family when living in Norfolk during the 1960's.

We extend our deepest sympathies for your loss. I have many fond memories of Mr. Gearhart dating back to 1979 in Portsmouth, Ohio when I traveled the Division with him for the annual supervisor's rules examination. He taught me a lesson then that I have carried with me since. We pray from your comfort and peace. Bob and Bobbie Corea

What a great guy and friend to my Mom & Dad (Art & Susie Lee) for years and years. You will be missed and we pray for comfort and peace for Buffie and all the family. David & Annette Lee; Dunwoody, GA.

We are sorry for your loss. We are keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers. My God bless you and your family

We offer our deepest sympathy, may you feel God's comforting presence during this time of sorrow.
