Georgina "Pimpinela" Hernandez

"Enter my daughter into the joy of the Lord." Mrs. Georgina Hernandez, born on February 14, 1920 in Esperanza, Las Villas, Cuba passed away at age 99 on March 15, 2019 in Sun City Center, Florida. Her Heavenly Father sent His angels to carry His daughter home to Heaven where she will spend eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Georgina lived most of her life in Hialeah, Florida, where she and her husband raised their family. Georgina was born to the late Bernardo Echevarria and Maria Gil and was one of eight sisters and one brother. Her love for family was paramount in her life. Georgina was preceded in death by her husband Jose Antonio Hernandez, her daughter, Lillian Hernandez McGrath and son-in-law Jonathan McGrath; and grandson, Jonathan "JJ" Hernandez. Georgina is survived by her sons, Manny Hernandez and his wife Gerry and Joe Hernandez and his wife Laura; grandchildren, Leja Hankins and her husband David, Janann Woody and her husband Phillip, Melissa King and her husband Brian, Emily Saucer and her husband Joe, Matthew Hernandez, and Kalah Riley and her husband Andrew; and great-grandchildren, Caden Woody, Gabriel Woody, Blake Woody, Andrew King, Caleb King, Jacey King, Duke Saucer, Elijah Riley, Mia Riley, Judah Riley, Jonah Riley, and Lily Hernandez. She loved the Lord and loved her church. Friends and family are welcome to attend the Memorial Service, officiated by Pastor Phillip Woody, on Saturday, April 6th, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Cypress Creek Assisted Living Residence, 970 Cypress Village Blvd, Sun City Center, FL 33573.
