Not sure what to say?

Hunter S. Thompson (wrote the Rum Diary).
"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"
Gordon, WOW what a ride! We are so eternally grateful and honored that we could share both the tears and the laughter with you.

What wonderful, fond memories I have of California Valley adventures, Hot air balloon flights, Tar Springs Ranch, Adobo feasts, or just hanging out at the Bennett's listening to music, looking at old photographs and memorabilia...or just sitting around and listening to Gordon tell corny jokes. He was a pioneer, a leader, a historian, an entertainer, a treasure to the community, and just a fun guy to be around and fortunately, I had the real pleasure of knowing him. Like the Bennett/Loomis...

Dear Bennett Family: Gordon and Manetta made a hugh impact on our family. I thank you both for some of the best events in our family's life in California Valley and the Boatzart festivals. Gordon, rest in peace. Love from Tim and Janis Frein (Old Coffee N Things, Los Osos)

Always enjoyed seeing your balloon in the sky! You will be missed.

Manetta, Stan, Shirley, Rod & family,
So many adventures and memories to remember. Gordon will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
My thoughts and love surround you all.

To the family,
Our thoughts are with you. We were so honored to be included in many wonderful adventures with Gordon and Manetta. What a rich and wonderful life Gordon created for himself and all who knew him!
With love, Mel, Rosi, Tasha and Clint Lusardi, (Atascadero, Pismo & San Diego)

On behalf of our family, Please accept our condolences. Gordon is a man who truly lived. I remember his hot air balloon passing over our farm back in the 60's scaring our dogs, and thinking that there went a man who loved adventure.
Everyone who knew him was fortunate to do so.
Richard Waller
