Gordon F. Lilly

I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of my dear, long-time friend, co-worker, and fellow world-traveller. I climbed my first 14ner in the Colorado Rockies with Gordon and went onto sail, climb, and ski in many other beautiful places over the years.

I had been thinking for the past few months that I was long overdue for a visit to see Gordon and Jean and, now I know why I was feeling those pangs.

I had the pleasure of working with Gordon during his time at the Graham Research Lab of J&L Steel in the 1960's. Gordon was a most remarkable person, a true gentleman and one of the most intelligent people I have ever met. I have never forgotten the advice and guidance he gave me as a young research engineer at J&L. Indeed, I have often thought of him fondly over the years. My condolences to Gordon's family and other friends and acquaintances.

Sorry for your family's loss. In the days ahead, may you find comfort from the God of loyal love and in the promises found in his word.
