LUSK, GRACE E., age 87 of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., formerly of Knoxville, died 7:10 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2002 at St. Mary’s Residential Hospice. Member First Baptist Church of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Preceded in death by: sisters, Virgie Byrd and Dena Lowe; brother, Lester Medlock.
Survivors: husband of 62 years, L.D. Lusk, Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Michael Stomer of Knoxville; son and daughter-in-law, Louie and Sandra Lusk of Knoxville; grandchildren, David Lusk, Natasha Carver, Karla Faulk, Angela Hicks, and Samantha and Mikey Stomer; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Lou Proffitt of Knoxville and Lorena Berthoud of Sevierville; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in Stevens Chapel. Dr. O.S. Hawkins of Dallas, Tex. and Dr. Larry Thompson of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers: Joe King, Ted Lowe, Bobby Taliaferro, Lonnie Taliaferro, Chris Lusk, and Gilbert Lusk. Honorary pallbearers: Harley Lusk, Wayne Byrd, Lonnie Medlock, John Berthoud, and Bob Taliaferro.

The family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m. Monday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at Broadway.
