Not sure what to say?

Back in the early 80'S Big Pete was one of the most beloved teachers at Stephen F. Austin Jr. High. A teacher that actually cared about the future of his students Big Pete always motivated you to do your very best. I am truly sorry that the good Lord decided to take him from us physically but am truly blessed that the memories are still here with us.

mr. peterson was one of a kind!!!! I loved him very much. They always say give people their flowers while they are still living I understand that now. God continue to bless the family and let nothing or no one come between your closeness b/c mr. pete i know has instilled alot of good qualities in each of you. God had all of this in his plans...........and He makes no mistakes

Big Pete was my teacher in the 8th grade. He was such a special person and neat teacher! I always think about how he made us write in ONLY black ink. I had heard that he was in the hospital a while back and went and bought a package of black pens and took them to him! It was nice to see his smile.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

To the Peterson Family,
Your family is in my Prayers for the loss of your loved one. "Big Pete", as he was affectionately known, was a fine man, teacher and friend. His style of teaching was either you get it or he got you (it only took once for me) but I know if it had not been for that a lot of us would have fallen by the wayside. He and your mother, Pearlie, were very caring and fun people to be around. Your belief in God and memories will help you get through this...

Please accept our deepest sympathy and prayers as "Big Pete" holds a special place in all of our hearts. His personality and spirit has helped alot of us get past our own obstacles to become better people in life. Hold on to the Lord for he is with you always.

No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. Our deepest condolences are with you as you grieve.

I had the pleasure of having Big Pete as my 7th grade science teacher. It was my first year living in Bryan and his unique sense of humor made my transition very easy. I have spent 22 years in the field of education as a teacher and school administrator and have come to realize that he brought a special brand of style to teaching that many people in the profession never master. He truly loved interacting with students and understood the impact he could have on them.

He will be...

Mrs. Johnnie Roberts and Family:

So sorry to hear of your loss, "Big Pete", such a caring and nice person. That smile is what I remember most and his compassion for teaching and the love of his students. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.
