“It was such a pleasure to know Helen for the short time that I did when I worked with her at DWR! She was a very special person who had an unusual ability to show lots of love for everyone. She was always appeared to be a very happy person, which made her fun to be around.
“Helen was a wonderful lady. Her ballroom dancing was an inspiration to many. She had a long career at Water Resources and the State that didn't start until she was 57. She put on quite a dance exhibition with her partner from Arthur Murray at her retirement party. She loved to talk about her childhood in Hickory. Rest on Peace, Helen.
