I've missed having Helen next door these past few years. It was a privilege to have known such a fine woman and to have been of service to her. I loved her wry wit and her spunk. I can't help but think that she is smiling right now, her body finally free of pain and distress. My thoughts are with you, Nancy and Carolyn, and with your families. May the happy memories you shared with your mom soothe the ache that you undoubtedly feel at this time. How great will be your joy when you are reunited with her one day!

It was with sadness that I heard of Helen's death. Helen was a colleague many years ago when I was Director of Catholic Charities in Hartford. Fond memories flood back. She was a dedicated and hard working professional with a great wit and sincere empathy for those we served. She was always so proud of her daughters. May she rest in peace and my heartfelt condolances to all in her family! Patrick Johnson
