Hope Melendez, 53 of Kenosha, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on June 30, 2023, in Santa Rosa, NM.
Hope was born on January 14, 1970 in Waukegan, Illinois to Andrew Ross Glover and Juanita Hern. Hope was raised in Waukegan, where she also attended school. On July 27, 1996, Hope was married to Isaac Melendez, in Beach Park, Illinois.
Hope’s career included an accounts payable and purchasing clerk for Old World Industries for 20 plus years, and most recently, Hope worked for Burris Equipment. Hope was a very outgoing individual, who made friends easily—she was loved by all who knew her and well-known.
In her spare time, Hope loved dancing and listening to music, she was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and loved watching crime shows.
Hope is preceded in death by her husband: Isaac Melendez, her mother: Juanita Hern and her father: Andrew Glover, her adoptive parents: Lorena and Willis Baird and her sister: Leatriz Chavez.
Hope is survived by her children: Jose Ortiz, David Ortiz, Olivia Melendez—all of Kenosha, WI, and Miana Melendez of Jalisco, Mexico, her grandchildren: Tatiana, Janessa, Jordan, Trinity and Amaris Ortiz, Dion Cruz and Jose Ortiz, Jr., her mother-in-law: Carmen Melendez of Orlando, FL and her siblings: Beatriz Hern and Bryan Brown—both of Santa Rosa, NM and Darryl Glover, of SC, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, family and friends.
A memorial service will be held, Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 10AM at Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa.

So proud I made you a grandma 16 years ago, even though my oldest Tati is you first grandbaby you always claime my other children just the same!
