Mrs. Gerken,
We were so sorry to learn of Dr. Gerken's passing today. He was such an important role model for Tommy, and always so kind to me when I would pop in at school to say Hello. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Tommy Carper and Susan Belford

Shirley,Beth and Jim
I am so sorry for the loss of a good man and I hope you all find peace in knowing that he is not suffering any longer. My prayers are with you all.
With Love

On behalf of the Silk Hope Ruritan Club we extend our condolences. I had the priviledge of knowing John for a short time and was sorry when he moved from this community. He was a faithful member of the club while he was here and has been missed since moving. May God bless your family in a special way.

Our thoughts go out to your family in this difficult time. We all are sorry to hear of his passing. He was a dear friend and we enjoyed all of the time spent together farming and visiting.

Shirley, Beth and all,
My heart goes out to you. I think of you so often. John was such an inspiration to me. His gentleness, patience, long suffering(Fruit of the Spirit) and his wisdom were exceptional.
Almost always, when I'm around Hokies, his name comes up. Blessings to you. May the Lord give you peace.

So sorry for your lose Debbie. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
