Passed away peacefully on Oct. 23, 2014, age 83. Beloved wife of the late John and sister of the late Shirley (Joe) Dalton. Loving mother of Claire (Mick) Goossen, Jen (Luis) Richardson, Tom Goetz, and Amy (Paul) Daczko. Cherished grandma of Katie (Elliot), Becky (Carlo), Abby, Annie, Paul, Erik, Elise, and Alex and great-grandma of Peter. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Irene was employed at Kohl?s for 30+ years, working first in the store and then in the buying office.
Visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wauwatosa (12130 W. Center St.) on Tues, Oct. 28, 2014 from 9:30 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. A private family committal service will take place at a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery. Special thanks to the staff of St. Camillus Skilled Nursing for their dedicated caring and service. In memory of Irene, memorials to St. Joseph Parish or St. Camillus Foundation appreciated.
Her kindness, generosity and hard-working spirit will be missed by all.
We all loved Aunt Irene - "AI" as us Daltons all referred to her. What a straightforward, honest person...and our link to our own mom who passed so long ago. So many great family memories that will stick with us forever - we've recouncted many stories over the years that will remain forever. I'm so glad we had the chance to see her just last week. Irene was strong and we will miss her positive influence.

I had the pleasure of working with Irene at Kohl's for many years, starting in 1982, in the same buying area. You would not meet a nicer, more dedicated, more even-tempered person than Irene. Condolences to her entire family on losing a special person like Irene.
