I am 58 yrs of age. I remember my grandparents [Valata and Carl Duncan] dropping by Sandlebens to pick up a prescription {and we were WEST SIDERS!] or to get "Ascriptions" as no one else in the city of Evansville would have these coated aspirin that my grandfather took. I believe Mrs. Sandleben would make me a small rootbeer float or a small choc malt. Years after my grandparents left me, I would just stop by to say HI! & there was your father, waiting just for me, and giving me my own personal smile and hug! Those were the good times....and I wish for you and your family to pass onto your children these type of moments that will be cherished forever. I feel honored to have been part of the Sandleben extended family. May cherished memories flood you with joy, tears, laughter, and a lighter heart. Sheri (Ms. Sheri) Laymon-Seymour

A huge part of my life, growing up and becoming the woman I am today is due to the influence and love of Jack, Don, and all their families. I am so proud to have known all of you. My prayers and thoughts are with you. I see a spirited card game going on right now in heaven! Love to al the Sandleben's. ( Ann Raley)

I would like to convey my sympathy. I was unfortunately out of town over the week-end and unable to attend the wake. Jack was a very special man. You are in my prayers.

In 1963, Jack gave me my first job when I was 15, a week after my father died.
He showed the hard work, integrety and a sense of humor were the basis for life and a career.
A good life well lived.
My condolences to Beverly, Jill and Lance

My deepest sympathy to Jack's family. He hired me at 15 to work at the Pharmacy. Responsible for teaching me "honesty and respect" in the workplace. The truest form of a gentleman. Rest in Peace Jack, you will always be remembered.

My sympathy goes out to the Sandleben family. In 1956, Jack gave me my first job, as a 15 year old bookkeeper. I treasure the experience and have very fond memories of working with Neva, Jack, Jon, Don and Mary Ann Sandleben.

May God be with your family for you have been blessed with a wonderful man. We knew Jack for years. He would stop by and always had a good story to tell. Even recently when we were cleaning out my mom-in-law's home. He would always visit and none of his stories were repeats. We had a rummage sale recently and he didn't stop by. I was thinking where is my story for today.
