I was just notified of Jim's passing and and can honestly say that I am in shock and deeply saddened for all of Jim's family and friends. Jim was one of my mentors when I came to Dow, and he truly was one of the best bosses you could ever have. He started as my boss, but like others have mentioned, he became a long term friend. I feel like I lost a brother. I can't tell you the number of times either of us would pick the phone up when he was working at DOW and discussed issues with work,...

Jim and I were friends and co-workers at Dow Chemical for many years where we served together on several key teams. Jim was always a great leader and helped us see the bigger picture in whatever we were working on. Jim also helped many of us see the bigger picture in life through his Christian outreach, that seemed to fit the need of whomever he was engaging with. I really enjoyed our many golf outings and talking about all things A&M. My deepest sympathies go to his entire family.

Jim and I were high school buddies and went to A&M together. Lynn and I are very saddened to hear of his passing. While we have lost touch due to our travels, I have never lost respect for Jim. He was a great guy when young and the comments are testimony to having lived his life at the same high standard. Jacque and family, we are very sorry in your time of sadness. Gig'em Jim.

I am shocked and deeply saddened by Jim's death. I considered him a good friend and brother in Christ. I got to know Jim well from spending time with him at work and off the job too. I always looked forward to our spring golf trip and the fellowship we shared while on the golf courses. Jim was a leader on the golf course, at work and on the spiritual side of things. He lived a good example for all to see.

I pray that God's peace and loving kindness be with Jacque and the rest of...

I had the privilege of working with Jim and also part of the “Christian men's golf group” that enjoyed four days of “marathon golf” every April, and it was more about the fellowship than the golf. I know he is playing par golf now and not needing the so called “foot wedge”. God speed Jim!

I've known Jim for over 46 years; we went to HS together (Brazosport class of '67). Sandra and I have called Jim and Jacque friends for 36 years. Jim was both a leader and a follower. He always stepped into leadership roles in business, church, and even recreational activities. He ran a men's golf trip for over 30 years. More important than being a leader, Jim was also a devoted and faithful follower of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jim loves and adores his wife Jacque, and kids...

In the relatively short time I worked with Jim, he touched my heart. He was kind and compassionate. He never judged. He was easy to talk to and easy to work for. The world lost a good man. My heart hurts for his family. May God bless you all.
