Aside from being my first CO in PSYOP, my favorite memory of Jim is this:

My first debriefing in Panama after a six-month deployment was to Jim Ladd on a Saturday. He was wearing a cartoonish Hawaiian shirt (think Magnum PI), white shorts, and deck shoes. During my entire fifteen minute briefing he never looked at me once. Why? He was turned to the side playing DOOM on his computer the entire time! All he kept saying was, "Keep talking.
