Oswald, James S.James S. "Jimmy" Oswald, 70, of Allentown, died Wednesday, September 30, 2015 in his home, surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was the husband of Darlene B. (Bailey) Oswald to whom he was married 11 years on August 31. Born in Allentown, March 7, 1945, Jimmy was the son of the late Stanley P. and Sara E. Oswald. He was employed as a master painter and mechanic at Mack Trucks, Inc. in Allentown for 27 years before retiring in 1996. Jimmy was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Cedar Union Church, Allentown. He had a passion for restoring automobiles back to their original condition. Jimmy played the "fiddle" in the band, "The Majestics". He loved sharing stories and spending time with beloved family. Jimmy was a graduate of Parkland High School. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Darlene; daughters, Lisa Corinne Fertal and her husband, Robert of Emmaus, Denise Davidene Mitton and her husband, Gary of Breinigsville, Elizabeth Jean Lehr and her husband, Richard of New Ringgold, Jamie Lynn Hudgins and her husband Jay of Woodbridge, VA; step children, Michael Scott Kocher of Lehighton, Felicia Ann Kern and her husband, Dale of Slatington; sister, Carol Ann Kelly of Slatington; sister-in-law, Dorothea Ohl of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Mariah, Laura & Kara Lehr, Braden & Jordan Hudgins, Samantha & Luke Blose, Beth, Brett and Dale Jr. Kern, Marshall Zettlemoyer; three nephews; predeceased by a brother-in-law, William R. Kelly. Services: Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm. Sunday, October 4, 2015 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. James D. Robison, Jr. officiating. Visitation period from 2 - 3:00 pm. Sunday in the funeral home. Private interment at Cedar Union Cemetery, Allentown. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com. Darlene and Family, I'm so sorry for your loss of a wonderful husband and father. Jimmy will be missed by many. I remember him playing with the Majestic's at Alburtis Park. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family at this time. God Bless.
