Jean Young Obituary
CAMDEN — Jean Ann Young, age 78, of Camden, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025 at Oak Creek Terrace in Dayton.
She was born Aug. 17, 1947 in Richmond, IN to the late Francis and Alberta (Gray) Vardaman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Paul Green Young; and infant son Travis Jay Young.
She is survived by her sons Paul Brian Young of Camden and Troy Lee (Monica) Young of Richmond, IN; daughters Angela S. (Mike) Burton of Friendsville, TN, Michelle Marie (Roy) Glassco of Miamisburg, and Tracy Jean Young of Camden; and 7 grandchildren.
Her friends and family called her Jeanie, a spirited woman with a quick wit and a great sense of humor. She faced challenges head-on and always spoke her truth.
In her own unique way, she cherished her loved ones and embraced life on her own terms. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Preble County, 951 S. Barron Street, Eaton, OH 45320. Gard Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Eaton is assisting the family with arrangements.
